Disappointing Hobbit Battle of Five Armies Premier Experience

Let me just make it clear, all the problems for my disappointing experience was because I had classes in the morning until 6pm, I was alone and standing in a very not strategic place because I was late... not to mention I have to get the wristbands the day before to be able to get into the supporter 'pens' if I wanted to get a better view.

So, most of you guys probably already know about the wristband rule Warner Bros set up (which is pretty unfair from all the complaints scattered around online). The wristband is a tool for you to get into the pens/barrier, if you don't have those you couldn't get it and will probably get shoo-ed away by security personnel. Continuing on, I had classes and they'll finish at 6pm but I bailed half an hour earlier to rush to Leicester Square. When I arrive to Leicester Square, I was told by the security to go around because there're no more place left on that side (across Vue cinema). Then I went around and got to Odeon's Costa door, the security lady was telling me to go because the waiting's finished, she even said 'finito' to me before she saw my wristband and ushered me into the pens...

I met a friend, who told me she was going to come as well with her friend, and the moved so we kind of separated. I waited and waited, I'm smaller than other people so I couldn't see much and we're just too far away from everything. I should have gone around to the Nickelodeon store because that was where the actors drop off! Oh I'm so disappointed and so sad, I was so tired I couldn't only see everyone's face from the big screen and even that is quite hard to see. Not many actors came by to the side I was standing at, only Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, someone I don't recognise, Ian Mckellen who walked quite quickly to greet everyone and Luke who just ran to say hi and ran away again. I'm happy I could at least get a glimpse of these people and got to get Jed's sign on my art, but my overall my experience of this premier was quite disappointing seeing that many people couldn't get into the pens because they don't have the wristband.

I saw many great cosplayer (Mary and Leigh from tumblr amongst them), but they don't have the wristband and they came all the way from Germany... I don't know where they went when they walked away. Their friend who cosplayed as Thorin was there, they were just A-mazing!

Going home, pretty hungry, not too late to make spaghetti for myself... all in all I think this might as well be my last premier because I'm just so tired unless my friends come together with me for another premier with Martin (ESPECIALLY HIM) or/and Ben.

I'm going to watch the movie next week on the first night before flying back to Jakarta the next day, if I'm in the mood (and not emotionally incapacitate like on The Imitation Game) to put on a brief review. Later taters!

Premier Experience rating: 2/5
